What positive things have you discovered about yourself during the lockdown?

1.I have realised I have the ability to self motivate, and motivate others
2. I enjoy my own company and have no issues being in solitude on my own
3. I have developed a new ability to ‘disconnect’ from reality each day. I think this is a sort of defence mechanism. I remember in the beginning of the lockdown, I was constantly stressed about things I couldn’t control. I’m able now to let it wash of me.
4. I’ve become better at feeling feels. Before I’d just disregard them

What you got misc

Edit - for context, UK brah and we’ve pretty much been on house arrest for the best part of a year. I know some of you miscers are super lucky and haven’t had to live with these draconian (but crucial) measures

The reason my dink curves slightly right and is thicker at the base is likely due to tight-grip masturbation

Not much has changed for me, I've been working throughout the entire lockdown so still have to leave the house most days.

If anything it's made me more grateful for what I have, being able to save much more money compared so many people who have practically lost everything all because of a virus that has a 99.8% survival rate.

The main thing I'm pissed off about is not being able to go to the gym which has slowed down my progress, although I still go out to the park to do pull ups/dips it's not the same as lifting in the gym.

Also the uncertainty of everything is whats frustrating, we've been in a yo yo lockdown 'tier system' for almost a year whilst other countries are back to normal because they handled it much better from the start.

I was working from home before lockdowns and had total control over my personal life, so I essentially just kept working as usual. 2020 was slightly down in terms of income from 2019, but I still made $250k so it wasn't all bad.

I saw a lot of the people around me begin to self-destruct due to loss of ability to socialize. Like it took people who I thought were completely normal and rational and made them begin having opinions and feelings that were completely off the deep end. I think the reason here was that many people excessively socialize as a way to mask their problems, and all of a sudden they lost their main crutch and were forced to confront this massive issue that had been brewing and it was too much to process.

Also, I taught myself how to trade stock options during lockdown and now am very good at recognizing trends and have the self control to properly enter and exit trades to limit risk and maximize gains. Because of this, I think I will be able to retire within another year or two. Will have a large sum in savings and will trade with the rest.

All in all, lockdowns have been really chitty. But I am someone who will come out of these better than 99% of other people.

It is very inefficient imo. Too time consuming and labor intensive if you include grocery shopping, prep work, cooking, cleaning up after. It’s not worth it. And it’s not even cheaper than eating out.
If you're cooking from scratch it is absolutely cheaper than eating out.

I think I learned that I have better will power than I thought. I always likened my not snacking during the day being due to being at work. Now I've been working from home since March and still not snacking during the day. It's harder here, but I've been able to do it.

I've also kept consistent with my workouts through it all and I do more walking than I did before.
