This will no doubt turn into a STEM master race thread but I have gotten multiple jobs with my degree which wasn't in that field that were "white collar" and decent wage.
It really comes down to living in a society where your interests/personality mesh in a way you can make a living without falling into a debt system. Being a chemical engineer or a software developer shouldnt be a pre-req to make a living wage in society.
I myself have zero interest in STEM. Hopefully this chick actually enjoys nursing and doesn't wind up making a youtube video about how lame the field is

In these threads all I can say is, I'm living proof that a bit of hard work with a bit of common sense gets you out of poverty. But you actually have to work. I know so many people planning moves, and all they do is plan, they never get to the making the moves phase, and they're always complaining about how they're broke, about how hard things are.
