Anyone else have stupidly cold weather coming?

Near Dallas here. Low for tomorrow night and Monday is predicted at 4 degrees F... Legit worried about some of the pipes in my 60 year old house. Have done what I can in terms of insulation as I have some that run in the attic. Mainly hot water though so I'm sure that's easy to clear as long as nothing freezes completely.

Of course there are houses on my street that still have hoses hooked up outside. I informed the lady who lives across the street she probably wants to remove all hers and wrap the spigots up.

Water will be dripping the next few days.

Being anti-2nd Amendment is like saying "We have too many rights, please take some away!"

I miss having seasons. In florida its like groundhog day. Hot and sunny. Every day. Its probably one of the reasons why people are psycho in FL.

Was working and pulling cable in new dorms at the college this past week . I’m sweating and look at the thermostat and it’s set to 78F .
Then go outside to drop fibre for the splicers in between , and it’s -11F outside .
Talk about temperature swings. Can’t wait for March (ded fuking srs)

That describes California. Everyone here apparently loves the weather even when it's 110 degrees, but they complain that arizona is too hot.

It's been a mild winter for me. It's going to be in the low single digits around me next week. That's cold, but pretty normal. A few years ago it got down to -15 and my car really doesn't like it that cold out. One of our steel doors at work froze shut, and you could see frost on the inside of the door where the door did not perfectly seal up to the frame.

If you take a deep breath and you can't feel your nose hair crystallize, it ain't that cold.
