“Wake up early” “Attack the day” “Sleep faster” etc

“Brah I’m so motivated that’s why I wake up at 3 o’clock in the morning!”

Yaaa but then you’re falling asleep, groggy etc at midday.

Woke up at 7am today to get workout done before work and I’m already phucked

i dont buy in to the whole "get up and get at it early."

if i happen to wake up at and feel good at 4am then great, but i sure asf arent doing it on purpose in order to "go kill it."

sleep in, get good rest, and use time left over. These people who get up early at the azz crack of dawn, well, good for them but this just sounds like burnout

I pulled an all-nighter every week of grad school for 2 years (grad school sucked). The day after, you are just fukking worthless in everything you try to do.

Sleeping for 6 hours or whatever to get another 2hrs of lifting in isn't worth feeling like chit and doing half-assed work for the next 12 hours. My 2 cents.

I’ve always struggled with this (see sig). Might be worthwhile to just make sure I always get 8 hours and only sleep more if I really need it

Not doing this 6 hours of sleep BS though, no fukking way

The old adage about every hour of sleep before midnight being worth two after has some scientific truth to it.

Go to bed early you ****s, stop dicking around online until 2 in the morning. In bed between 9 and 10 and up at 5am every day crew checking in get on my level.

I mean, if there's benefits to specificallyyougetting up early everyday, then do it

I find it pointless to get up before 7

Once rona is over, I think ill get up earlier on the weekends(usually get up around 11 lol) to do more in the day

I'm not usually up before 6am unless I'm traveling, but I am more productive in the morning. After about 2pm I check out (check out of work anyway)

The best for optimum functioning would probably be something like 10pm-6am.

Not an option for me though. I’m a shift worker, which means I sometimes don’t even get home until later than 7am.

Also night time is the best part of the day (IMO), would suck to cut it short

I'm most productive and feel at my best when I'm lights out around 9:30am and up by 5. A long soak with a good book and sleepy time tea is like a tranquilizer. Just need to be disciplined about it and make it more consistent.

Hate my job and have no desire to "get after it" anymore. Stepped down from a promotion last year. Wasn't worth it.

There is some truth to earlybirds and night owls. Obviously your workday will influence your behaviour but if you can work to what suits you.

I feel best with regular 9 hour sleeps. WKe up around 6.
