Power been out since I noticed at 3 am when I woke up this morning. It's 8 degrees outside.... feels bad man. They say it's "controlled rolling outages" but lol at multiple people reporting no power since early am to this point.
Went from expect outages ranging from 15 to 45 minutes to outages have been extended significantly.
Currently working via personal hotspot from my phone, but phone battery down to 40%. I can go down to my car and charge it back up but RIP soon if this sh*t extends the entire week. It's supposed to be cold through Thursday and snow again on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning
F*cking clowns. They knew this weather was coming for weeks.

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Is it that demand is outstripping what the system can physically deliver, or that they can't find suppliers to import more into the Texas grid?
Reading some passing references to hardware failures due to the temps that are causing delivery problems, too. Frozen pipes in plants, turbines stopping. What a fukkin' mess.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

increased load. Heat is the majority of a load in a electrical service. The colder it gets, the more demand it puts on the grid. The grid as a whole is outdated by a vast amount and they have to load shed to keep from burning up transmission lines due to increased ampacity. The solution is not just generate more power as the lines are inadequate.

That is what they get. Morons.
We got snow and a chit ton of ice. I drove to work this morning to check on the IT infrastructure. I had to pour warm water on my car door and windows. I do this like once every 2-3 years. It's not bad in South Texas.
