What would you do if a transgender man/boy fought and injured your daughter?

I know most of you are FA and having a child is unlikely but just pretend.

A recent thread about a transgender bashing a woman's skull in during an MMA fight and then being hailed a hero made me think of this. How would you react?

ill be fully honest. i have a 6 1/2 year old daughter. i do not consider myself a right winger, but i would consider myself a little right of center. i do support universal health care though so i go both ways.
WHile i do not think it will affect her in the long term, i believe i would be pretty pissed off regardless. he/she/it hits my kid, thats all kinds of ****ed up. i am more worried about have a sports scholarship taken away. do i think she will ever earn one, doubt it, but i would like the option to be there for her.

Better question: why did you, as her father, allow it to happen in the first place?

brb not gonna let social pressure keep me from being a good father

If I had a daughter, as long as she lived under my roof, she wouldn’t be allowed to compete in any contact sports at all. The potential fame/money etc is not worth the increasing risk of her getting a life-changing injury by getting battered/tackled by a man.

If she was living independently, I couldn’t stop her of course, but I would would absolutely have no part in it, including if it all went wrong.

Not going to groom my kid to think she can win against a man.

Thankfully not having kids at all anyways, no way am I potentially risking putting another female on this planet, not with how bleak it’s looking for future generations of women.

Edit: I wouldn't even allow my daughter to compete against non cis women. If she really wishes to compete, we'll enroll her in a private school, or move to another district where she can compete against other cis women.

No, I was working within the confines of the OP's premise.

Assuming we have a role in this scenario, that is my response.

I'm thinking more grade school sports. My daughter will never wrestle a trans athlete if she ever decides to participate in that sport.

And my point was that OP's premise is we have a role in the scenario - what do we do.

My advice to an adult daughter would be she should decline.

My verdict on an adolescent daughter would be she isn't doing it because I'm in charge and that's just the way it is.

The gender wouldn't matter. I would be pissed regardless.

I would just expect "backlash" more so because of the gender and people being sensitive. Unfortunately the fact that anyone hurting my kid is wrong would get lost in the fact that its a transgendered person and thats upsetting and it sucks because that is the world we live in now.

Everyone wants to do the "right thing".. My children are grown, but i'd still go all out like i have done in the past.. Right or wrong, you protect your child ,no matter what.. Even if it means death or prison.
My son had some problems with some gang members.. Guess what me ,my son and his uncle did..? We Phucked up some gang members..! I grew up on street corners in the 80's and 90's,and we come from whoop ass first,then sort $h!t out.. No one messed with my son anymore after that day.. I even picked my son up from school and could hear the kids saying, that's the guy who beat those guys up..
My dad was a punk and i remember being ashamed of him and swore if and when i had a child no one would touch them.. Grown folks would smack me and say things to my brother and i and he did nothing. I remember how that made me feel.. I was not going to sit back and let my children feel like i did.. I had to learn to fight and it made me aggressive and bitter and I took no $h!t from anyone.. It made me one of the neighborhood bad guys. Til this day,my attitude is $h!t,and will not allow anyone to talk down to me,or treat me with disrespect.

This **** is getting quite pervasive. How would you know how it hasn't infiltrated the private school? Or would you just ask them if they have any trans students if they compete in what sports? etc? just curious how that works.
