300,000. Way to pricey for what it is and the location but neat to see the progress.

3D printed homes should start to cut the price of housing in half as the tech expands.

Also - house framers and carpenters are going to be losing jobs massively with this. Other crafts not as much.

I work with a 3D printer a lot here at work, and I can't even imagine how long that took to build. Until they start speeding up print times, and lowering material costs, this is how much they're gonna cost...I'm actually surprised it's not more.

Not sure the size of your printer but this is actually an "old school" approach if you look at the siding. More modern methods exist right now.



The toothpaste approach is not good looking.

What they're doing now is 'smoothing' the paste-looking stuff as they go so the form of the concrete mixture doesn't look so terrible.

The way to do that is to print 2 walls at one time. One is textured and the other is form.

It literally looks like it was 3D printed.

Looks like the inside is what you would imagine someone living in in a simulation or like a Sims Game.

I'm using a Mark Forged X5. So it's around 2 feet wide x 3 feet tall. Nowhere on the scale of what they're using.

It is a ****ing concrete block - it will last 50+ years with no effort. Wood houses don't even compete.

Interesting. Definitely a contender for a cheap starter home. The walls look to be the 3d printed portion while the roof is framed up. I assume it meets all the building codes and plumbing, electrical was figured out and ran accordingly.

what about ease of repair. wood framed drywall homes you can replace entire plumbing sysyem in a day. and lol wut? wood framed houses last 50+ years with no effort either. its all about the foundation when it comes to homes lasting
