I turned 30 ten months and I've been doing better than ever... Mostly because my 20s were awful.

So there you go. The secret to having a better 30s than your 20s is to have a disastrous 20s.

But seriously, this is the age where you should have life figured out to a better extent. Whatever physical declines aren't going to be that bad yet. You aren't turning 70. Your 30s and 40s and maybe 50s should be the prime of your life.

It doesn't have to be. It's all about your prospects and your outlook. You got a lot of years left to kill (hopefully) and regardless of whether or not the last 10 or 15 have been good to you, age does factor in the odd benefit.

Just turned 30 myself boyo


30 pros:

- life and career figured out. Work is more enjoyable , no longer bottom rung
- finances in check. Not ceo 10k a day status, but can afford to do really anything you want to do
- better understanding of self, hobbies, interests compared to 20 year old
- still in physical peak to do really anything


30 cons

- recovering from late night outs sucks
- at some point at this decade you’ll age into creepy guy at bar hitting on girls too young if you don’t watch yourself
- if you don’t take care of yourself and health the wheels fall off this decade
- pressure to settle down and have kids/family. Not a bad thing but just make sure you don’t make a bad choice here

Yes...Yes its all down hill. Sorry boyo. No more getting yucky with the boys and waking up at 6am feeling fine. Also if you don't get a regular gym routine, the gains go quickly.
