fellow TX brahs, how was your week?

Austin/Dallas/Houston, anywhere affected.

I had a pretty bad week tbh. Lost power late sunday night early Monday and have spent most of the week without power or water, or some combination.

Made it to a friends place (walked which was brutal) only for them to lose power and water.

Got power restored at my place yesterday morning but still no water. Scooping pool water so I can flush my turds lol. Looks like it will be a while before we get water again.

Any other fellas have a tough week?

Dallas guy here. Power went out around 2am monday morning. Finally came back on yesterday. It wasn't too bad. Got cold but had a decent amount of supplies. Only bitch was I had to drive to work because I couldnt work from due to no power. I felt bad, a bunch of people on the lower floors of our building had pipes burst, drains clogging up etc. It was especially frustrating because people a few blocks to the north of me never lost power. I did read an entire book in one day on monday so that was fun.

Had power and water. We're supposed to boil water but the prepper in me keeps bottled water at hime.

GF is over my place b/c her water is out so she's been doing my laundry, cooking, cleaning.

I've been able to work and secure the bag.

Helped an elderly woman get a propane heater and gave my neighbors some water.

Thankfully I didn't take the brunt of all this going on.

We’re about 45 outside of San Antonio.
Been pretty fortunate, we’re soft preppers so we’ve had plenty of food/water.
We haven’t lost power, however we lost water two days ago, (luckily filled one of the tubs before just incase) got it again last night but little to no pressure and we lost that little bit this morning.
The wife and I helped each other shower via heated water in pots lol.
Got my little 4k watt generator running a couple days ago to ensure it was working but haven’t needed it fortunately.
We cruised around a couple days ago and saw a lady who was unable to get out of her driveway, ended up giving her niece a ride to CVS for medication and supplies.
Super fortunate I have a guaranteed 40 so I’ll still get paid for this week too.
Definitely wasn’t planned but we’ve done well enough imo.
