As a 25 year old white male STEM worker, I'd probably have a wife and kid right now just by dint of my income. Pry have a house on some land too that's going to appreciate 15x over the next 70 years.

In the 2020s, I sit in a box I pay 50% of my take home towards and play shooter games, having never held a woman's hand.

Well, "better" is a relative term. The 1950s was all about conformity. The 2020s is all about individuality. 1950s conformity may have offered social stability, agreed upon norms, values, and expectations but the 1960s Counter Culture movement showed how fragile social stability was and how people wanted to break out from the whole conforming atmosphere of the time.

I expect the same thing will happen in our future where people will get fed up with identity politics and this whole "individuality push" and want to go back to conformity kind of life.

I grew up in the 80s a decade often thought of well today it seems. In the 80s I can recall many fondly remembering the 1950s. It must have been a fun time to have been alive.
