What happened to the bodybuilding 'celebs'

used to be rich piana, hodgetwins, jeff seid, Dana lynn Bailey, jason genova etc

I miss having new RIch videos and fresh YT comment sections.

One of the best comments was in one of his videos with that smoke slarm that kept going off.

They got old.

Muscle gains are not infinite and theres only so much you can do. its a repetitive lifestyle. the way many of these people pushed themselves in particular their training and "supplement" wise is also not really good for longevity. They have to eventually branch out to other niches if they want to continue to be successful content creators.

I have to admit, I do miss the piss lord and the delray misfits. That was some entertaining stuff. I remember Genova became a rapper called 'j-cream' and was just shouting nonsense over a beat -IM EAST COAST WEST COAST BABY CEO 10K A DAY BABY

Watching oversized guys lift weights and push crappy supplements gets old. New generation has to take over. I think people lose steam as far as pushing themselves on social media. Or they get fat

A couple of weeks ago, one of the male forum members commented in the professional BB sub-forum on this very topic, saying, ' They might not post because smartphone tech, coupled with IG and social media platforms, can make the pros indistinguishable from the amateurs nowadays.' This sentence is not verbatim, but close enough. If true, that's unfair to them.



^^I think the same logic applies to professional or aspiring models and average women just taking pics with the all the smartphone tech. In some cases, you can't distinguish between the real bombshells and the "plain Janes," so to speak. Again, unfair to the real beauties who have something special and can have a real career (and don't need to do something like OF).
Fact: My first-generation uncle was a boxer who fought Sugar Ray Robinson! He also fought in the war, sacrificing the career he deeply loved, so people could have the right to freedom.

Idk, I watch Doucette, Herman, Vetruvian and Will Tennyson vids

I guess they aren’t as intense as some of the other “fitness” youtubers but they are entertaining, have some good advice, and worth a watch. I think Greg Doucette posts way too much, so it’s not like I’m watching every video.

I never got into watching other dudes lift though. Like, give me the advice, but you can cut the 10 min highlights of you actually lifting.

It probably became oversaturated. Their videos are still out there so it's a bit pointless for someone new to put the time into making more videos that just rehash the same stuff.

I think a big part of it was that awareness about the realities of bodybuilding spread and became more well known so it's probably tougher to dupe people into buying useless supps and "secret workout programs".

Got married and had a couple kids - still looks great though.

Dana Linn Bailey and her husband bought a farm out in I think Montana. They just closed the Warhouse gym in Reading last year.
