Vietnam era Soldiers had the best leave, IIRC. Imagine all the sl00ts you could **** in Thailand and Philippines for the price of a Coca Cola or something. The only soldiers that came home without sexual infections were probably Quakers and Mormons.

First Gulf war for me. low chance of death and the libs were in that small window where they didn't hate America so you would come home and feel like a real hero.

Iraq.
Vietnam was a chit show with booby traps everywhere and fukked up ways to die. Revolutionary/Civil War even a wound meant death. In Afghan if you got caught under suppression you couldnt move that easy through hardcore mountainous terrain- youd have to call in IDF.

None. War is not a game. To fantasize about being in a war is literally the most 1st world American coddled bullchit I have ever seen. Go talk to someone who has actually served and seen real action what they think of war.

Put me in the 90's desert. I'll come home with GI Bill and buy a new 2nd Gen Cummins upon release and the world is at it's peak.

I would go with Afghanistan since the US had a massive technology advantage.
Those were all brutal choices though. WW1 would be the last choice. Fuk spending all day in the mud getting artillery striked with the enemy constantly just a few 100 meters from you at all times.

I guess ww2 is the only war worth fighting.
Revolutionary War? Negative, this country is a dump now. Might as well have stayed part of the UK
Civil War? Yes let me die to free ungrateful black people who eventually trash this country and cry like babies anyway.
WW1? What's the point?
WW2? Hitler tried exterminating people.. that's an evil worth fighting.
Vietnam/Iraq/Afghanistan all the same chit. BRB dead for some guys politics and so some other guy can get rich

Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

None of them. Why the fuk would I want to?
My childhood best friend did tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and fights through every day not to off himself, all the while waiting to hear that another one of his marine buddies couldn't make it through his day. Fuk your thread.

If I had to choose it would be WW2 because it actually made sense, as time goes on I think what I did in Afghanistan becomes more and more pointless as the places I fought get taken back over and I have lost more friends back home than while actually in combat.

Even though a ton of people died in WWII, gotta go with that. Besides the Revolutionary War, no one has done more for our country and the world than the men who fought in that.
