Is lifting much less beneficial now vs a few decades ago |srs|?

I was thinking about the rapid rise in average bodyweights of american males.

In 1980, if you were a muscular 240lbs you would have size-mogged pretty much everyone.

But now you are just average sized, the only difference between you and the average male is that you are leaner. But not bigger. Even a lot of women will be bigger than you for fuks sake

With how big the typical american male is, it's impossible to size mog and be lean.

I think you need to be at least 300 lbs before you are 'big' now. If taller then even more weight (srs)
Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x5
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 205x5
Deadlift: 405x13 (conv tap'n'go with straps)

Being healthy and sexy will never be a bad thing.

There's an upper and lower limit on muscle mass BTW where you cease to fall within that range.

I like being big AF because I can enjoy food more without getting fat, and I can do big boy things like drive a lifted truck and not look like im compensating, do alpha chit and not have people challenge me, mostly its really just being able to eat and not get fat though. Muscle requires so many calories to maintain.

After I compete in may and reverse diet for 6 weeks im going to take a break from bodybuilding and slam english muffins, peanut butter sandwiches, tacos, BBQ, cookies/brownies every night, whatever I want for a couple months and as long as I keep calories at around 4k I wont gain fat and will just maintain muscle.

With social media taking over, yes tbh. All you have to do is have 1 decent shooped/lighting pic where you look jacked and everyone will know you as the jacked guy. Whereas back in the day you'd have to actually be jacked all the time in all outfits and all lightings.
