Anyone here in Med School?

I'm planning on going into medicine next year if I pass my Medical School Admissions Test, and I'm wondering what the actual content and lifestyle is like.

Does it allow time for you to play video games, work, go to the gym, etc or is it mainly just study?
Also, is the content intellectually challenging, or is just based off memorisation?

GF in med school. First two years a lot of studying. She has time for gym and other small things, but mostly studying.

There is a lot of memorization, but there is definitely topics that you can "understand" to help you aid in the memorization, so to speak. For example, if you understand how the heart pumps the blood and all the insights into that, it "makes sense" and you only have to remember the key idea to get all the details.
