Voice Only Group Chat- Will chat go vocal again?
New-ish app (almost a year) that I recently heard about when the NYT wrote about the scandal of "unfettered conversations" taking place.
The breakdown I watched essentially stated that the NYT (and mainstream media in general) doesn't like the idea of mere plebs being allowed to speak freely without an approved censorship program like those used by Twitter or FB.
Watched part of a recording of a recent Clubhouse chat w/a few well known podcasters and at least 7,000 other participants. One of the app developers said that 7,000 was their present maximum.
Watcha think? Will they make it?

Rogan said something in that clip
"Can't get cancelled if we all stick together"
That's basically the only way you can avoid cancel culture.
Essentially all cancel culture is is a bunch of people that have agree'd that if X happens, everyone that agree's with cancel culture must do Y.
I like his idea of just creating a culture that opposes that. I think more people need to get into groups of people to oppose it. 1 person vs a bunch of people isn't good. A bunch of people vs a bunch of people is better

ETA: Also someone asked if it would replace podcasts or be complementary. Answer was complementary...comparison was a comment about Twitter driving people to blogs and that maybe Clubhouse would drive people to podcasts, but that the Clubhouse format was too unpolished to replace podcasts.
