Put my pupper to sleep
14 years old, developed liver disease. He was fine last night and then today he couldn’t stand or walk.
Vet said all his organs were failing and there was no saving him, even with surgery. So there was no other option.
I’m absolutely gutted. The hardest thing I’ve ever gone through.

So sorry brah. I truly believe there isn’t a worse feeling than this. Only a few things to “offer”
Be as sad and angry as you want. It almosthelpsto get those emotions out, and HARD.
Think about him lots, and when you do, smile. No matter how much it hurts.
And finally, the definition of cope... see sig.

Sorry man.
Probably the hardest thing I had to go through in life was putting my last dog down.
No words help. Enjoy the memories. Enjoy the love he gave.
When ready, get another dog and make new memories.

Only people who have gone through this know how devastating it is. It's harder than losing close relatives, srs

the worst feeling in the world bro
try and think about the happiest moments of the 14 years you were able to spend together thats a long happy life for any doggo
celebrate your dogs life and the positive impact it had on you
take a moment each day to remind yourself how awesome and amazing your pups was (it helped me quite a bit on more than one occasion)

Those eyes. So sorry OP, it's real pain you feel not everyone understands. Looks like a loved dog and you gave him the best life you could, and it was just his time. That's all you can do. I know it sucks, it's just the low point of being a dog guy.

Sorry for your loss, OP.
It is never easy saying goodbye to a goodboye or kittie.
I don't know if this will help make you feel any better:
There was a woman who owned two beagle good boyes. She came home one time to find them dead. A large wolf in the area had flipped the dogs over onto their sides and ate the organs killing them. Both doggos died.
The woman tracked the wolf. It was like 300lbs. She tracked it with a bow and arrow. She saw how big the wolf was. She pulled out her magnum and shot the wolf six times, killing it.

To live a long life and die peacefully next to his beloved human... that’s the best possible outcome for a dog. Try to remember that there was no better way for this to play out. His life felt like a full lifetime to him even though it seemed short to you, and he never feared death for a single moment.
Still heartbreaking. Puppers are family. I’m sorry OP.

We had to do the same in January for ours. She would've been 13 in a week and a half.
Similar to yours, it came out of nowhere. We had an amazing day, took her on a super long walk. Then the next day she had a seizure out of the blue. 4 hours later, another, and then they continued every hour until the next morning.
I think it was harder because we didn't really have the period of time knowing it was inevitable, to say spoil her for her final days. It was just a giant shock that happened so suddenly.
Two months later and it's still hard. People say it never really goes away, it's just that the frequency of the pain lessens.
But it was literally the worst day of my life. We were super close.

Sorry to hear, brah. From the looks of the pics, you gave him a life that any dog would be really happy with. He lucked out getting you.
Hope you feel better soon.

RIP brah. I can't even think about losing my dog, but time is undefeated.
That's part of having animals and it sounds like he lived a great life. That's the best you can do.

I know those feels. I had to put my doggo down coming up on 25 years ago. I still think about him even after this long. It doesn't hurt anymore, though. RIP pupper.

Sorry to hear but very necessary. The dog was suffering a lot more than you were aware of if that's the vet diagnosis. It's hurtful to put down a pet but you ended horrible suffering.
