Low cals.
Fats typically come with better macronutrients. Carbs are typically empty.

I try to keep the fat high for joint/hormone reasons, so the carbs naturally get cut. I don't like going below 100g carbs a day, though.

Low carb
Fat is needed for testosterone production so I like to keep fats moderate carbs low and protein high.

Neither, just track overall calories and protein intake.
Don't see the point in tracking carbs/fats if you have a half decent diet they'll naturally fall into place.

Carb cycling.
Steam raw veg and boneless skinless chicken breast for the low fat meals. Also brown rice.
Maybe some sauteed whole eggs with avocado and some broccoli for the high fat low carb meal.
Either that or Intermittent fasting.
Obviously cut all sugar and alcohol from your daily consumption.
Maybe someday I'll take my own advice and get back to this. I've put on a few pounds recently.
Good luck bro.

Lower both enough to put me in the deficit
Usually comes from carbs tho, especially as I get deeper in the cut. I mostly eat rice for my carbs, so it’s easier just to lower the amount or just cut it out completely and do meat+veg. Plus fats are satiating, and extremely important for overall health. Low fat will cause issues very quickly, at least for me it does.
When I get low on carbs I make sure I do regular refeeds and try and get carbs in before I train.
