Did anyone else prefer when most TV shows had 24 episode seasons?

Nowadays everything tries to copy game of thrones doing 8 episode seasons once a year.

You wouldn't mind so much but most shows still suck anyway

24 was great for this. Each season had as much plot and action as like 3 seasons of any action show now. It was like the defeated the final villain twice before the real final villain was revealed. Also much more room for multiple plot lines.

And the OC was great too and did the same thing.

I like Cobra Kai with ten episodes per season, most shows with 24 or 26 episodes in a season really pad the stories out and add fluff that doesn’t need to be there to force feed it to get up to 26 episodes

8 - 16 is a good amount for continuity driven plots. 20+ better for "story of the week" type shows or comedies.

I prefer shows with 20+ eps a year to less than 10 eps.

Provided it's a good show, I think the former has better chance of its character development.
