A great things about having kids that no one mentions...

... you get to use misc slang on someone you’re raising. Can’t even count the number of times I’ve said to them:


“You good brah?”

See them struggling with something - “do you even lift bro?”

They talk back - “watch out your comments bro”

They head out into the neighborhood “pls stay safe”





The possibilities are pretty much endless, and honestly I don’t even know why it’s so good to do. I’ve probably just misced too much over the years.

I thought the benefit of kids is always having an excuse when someone tries to spring chit on you. Like 'nahh, kids are home at 4 I gotta be back' or 'oh we have soccer practice in the morning, I can't stay' etc etc

I always use misc terms with mine too.
Brb asked my 13 yo son what he learned in school yesterday ( i ask em pretty much every day)
Brb "Learned about Dragons"
Brb I was like "U wot m8?"
Brb "Ya dragon these nuts across your face"
Brb bert stared em "U avin a giggle m8"
brb he yells out "ohhhhh Rekt!"
