Its more maintenance. You will need a soft high quality towel that can dry it quickly without damaging the hair strands.

I have allergies that causes flaking of the skin on my scalp so I cannot hair long hair. But I rocked the Lord Farquad look for a bit because it looked more luxurious than the average joe.

drying it is a bitch.

when it get PAST your shoulders, knots/tangles get common.

if you are NW2 or more, youll want to get some dry shampoo spray.

cleaning scalp gets trickier as well.

it's obviously more maintenance

Been growing mine near 2 years, around my shoulders. I don't do a lot of stuff with it other than shampoo once/twice weekly. It was a pain for quite a few months where it lacked length but was really bushy/thick, so expect that. Worth it on the other side. I still find sleeping a bit hard at times since it is very hot and sometimes itchy, even in a cold room with the window open at night.

I had a phase during college where I had long hair. I liked the feel of long hair. I didn't find it high-maintenance. Just brush it daily, wash regularly. The only painful part was dealing with windy days.

However -- everyone does tell me that I look better with short hair than long hair. From all I have heard, 90-95% of men look better with short hair than long.

I just wash/condition my hair every 5-6 days and brush it once a week and people say wow, you take such good care of your hair!!!

It's not that hard honestly. Have to put it up at night though or it will be a tangled mess in the morning.
