Weak as **** 5 days into diet
Since Tuesday ive eaten nothing but meat, eggs, and above ground veggies (spinach, brocc, asparagus). No sugar, no carbs other than the measly amount in the jerky i was snacking on.
Lifted for first time this morning. Weak AF. Felt like a DYEL.
315 on bench felt like 445. Didnt go any higher. Did some high rep stuff at 225/185 then moved on to incline bish weight.
Feels bad man.

Are you eating enough carbs or are you doing a keto diet?

Everything came back normal in bloodwork, except triglycerides were really high. Doctor wants me to do this to get my body to start burning fat for fuel instead of carbs and sugars in bloodstream.

Op, from what I’ve read on keto, it takes a few days (week to 10 days) to adjust. I recall one day eating very low carbs (unintentionally) and was kind fogged by night. Ate some carbs (granola bar) and was feeling normal in about 20 minutes.

You get used to it after a week or two. My lifts have all gone up after switching to a similar diet in January but there was definitely an adjustment period

you're doing it wrong
im on week 9 of prep and everyday is PR's lifting and cardio
if you're getting weaker your recovery is shot and your body is burning muscle for energy which means its burning even less fat for energy, so your dramatic and drastic approach is not very beneficial.
