Might be gerring fired for looking at porn (srs)

So I logged into my work Gmail account from my home laptop to check some mail and I didn't realize it had left my Google account logged into the work one.

Well I did the usual stuff but apparently this is all logged in the work search history and I have been called to a meeting with the HR relating to my Internet usage.

Thing is though it wasn't on company computer, it wasn't during work hours and it wasn't even at work, the search history just saved and got flagged for me searching for GDP etc. So legally idk.

Embarrassed as fucc tho and even if I somehow don't get fired I'll obviously have no real future here now, feels bad man.

Agree though that even if you stay and get a warning, you either will need to spend years to rebuild your credibility (assuming supervisor knows) and you may never be eligible for leadership positions because you have a history - and HR is all about mitigating risk

Well tbh I'd settle for not being fired because I'm realistic and I know my long term future here is done but if I can at least keep getting paid for a few weeks/ couple of months until I can find an equivilant position that'd be a positive

Ask a roommate or someone else to use your computer and lookup pron while you're physically in the meeting with HR. Then you can say it was just a family member using it and it wasnt you.

That might get you fired too for letting someone else have access to your work account tho
