JFL at Oregon and the homeless camps

Looks like something out of a movie. Tents everywhere especially by the freeways.I thought Cali was bad but this is on another level. Who’s to blame?? How do they survive on this weather? Reps for answers

and LMAO how do they survive? ****ing LMAO they have legit full on tent cities. Like entire "city" is covered by make shift tarps and ****. They've got people coming by daily bringing them food and items. They've somehow got power in these tents and had god damn christmas lights up.

1/3 of homeless have severe mental illness eg schizophrenia and psychosis. I feel for them - not much we can do besides lock them in mental facilities. 1/3 have severe substance abuse issues - I pity them but the number of fuk ups it takes for your entire family and all friends to shun you and let you live on the streets is generally quite high and these people are generally beyond help. The remaining 1/3 just chose the homeless lifestyle.

Tough problem.

Move to the Eastside. Bellevue/Kirkland is 10x better than DT. Their police department actually arrests criminals and clear up homeless encampments. Used to live in Ballard for years until I had enough of all the open drug use, discarded needles, public defecation and crime.
