Are they going to pull the “we can’t go back to normal unless everyone vaccine” card now? Where we’re not allowed to stop doing this social distancing mask bullchit until everyone trusts the science and gets the vaccine?

It’s been over a year, the virus isn’t going anywhere, and we have a viable vaccine, so I can’t see any reason why we’re not getting ready to put an end to this chit.

What makes it “preemptive”? What ideal are they waiting for that will make it okay to put and end to mask and social distancing mandates?

If they’re waiting for a majority of people to get vaccinated then that is problematic, but there are a lot of people who aren’t and won’t ever be comfortable with taking it.

Even here in Oregon I've made new friends, found an underground gym, get to go into small businesses and we won't wear masks if there aren't any other customers once I get to know the staff. People are starting to wake up.
