Anyone seen Coming 2 America?

IMDb has horrid reviews and most are saying stay away from watching it. Might still watch it. Seen the first one back when I was a lot younger.

This is true. I've been on IDMb for well over a decade and almost always agree with their reviews ... Rotten Tomatoes, totally off-track. It's like they are trying to give the most negative reviews possible.

Yeah I'll watch it just because I loved the first one. One of my favorite movies of all time, but I'm not going into it expecting it to be amazing or to be laughing my ass off constantly. It will prob be a lot more tame, and politically correct due to the times. Crazy how the first one came out the year I was born lol.

The sequel is 25-30 years too late, the formula has been done to death in various other movies and its just kinda cringe. I'm not terribly interested in seeing it, but I will eventually, and undoubtedly be extraordinarily disappointed.

Couldn't finish watching it after 25% in. Didn't have the same "feel" as the first which is a classic. 4.5/10

It’s utter trash. After seeing the trailers I knew it wouldn’t be a patch on the original, but I still expected something better than what was put out.

It's being crucified by urban radio. Breakfast club, morning hustle show, etc are saying it's nostalgic, but corny. 90% of the people calling in are calling it trash. "Eddie Murphy can't make good movies anymore."."The performances are pretty good, but the story sucks.".

With that said I'll be passing on it.

Only cool thing was they got damn near all the actors back, even really small roles. Other than that, movie was boring. I dont find Leslie Jones funny so that didnt help.

The original cast put in performances that seemed more like parodies of their original character, and the newcomers were just straight up balls and generic.

The only reviews I look at are % of google users who like it. 82%. Which is not terrible but still pretty low.

The new American Pie is at 61%. Which honestly is surprising. I couldn't finish it.

Leslie Jones is garbage I'm mad she got in there. Like someone else said having most of the original cast back is great. They should've made this like 20 some odd years ago though. It's okay. The first one is much better of course, but 2 is worth a watch then you can forget about it for a while. Wesley Snipes was pretty funny too so I liked all his scenes.

Figured. This is why I didn't bother. First is a classic and Eddie Murphy is the man. Second I'm assuming has a lot of woke B.S. and Eddie Murphy has to play to a PG13 audience - Fuk that. No need to remake classic movies - I can't think of a single remake that is as good let alone better than the original. Happy to be proven wrong...

Saw one preview right at the beginning that looked funny. Then a few days later I saw a longer preview. I honestly couldn't believe how bad it looked.
