Getting my electrical completely redone so should be a few week long job atleast. I do not wfh but I do have all my days off during the week so likely they will be working when im off. IDK if I should stay and "watch" or leave and hangout elsewhere or what. Obviously want it done asap so ill be out of there way. Im assuming power will need to be shut off when they are working on it so its not like I can just hangout at home right? idk

Just be normal? They can shutoff your power breaker by breaker so unless they're working on your breaker box or on the utility side of your power I'd imagine everything will be normal except whatever area they are working at the moment

Go to lunch early. Get two different things you like to eat. Come back and put both on the counter and tell him to pick one while you go do something for 5 minutes.

Eat the one that's left.

You treated him better than anybody else ever has and you don't have to talk to him.

He will do a good job and not steal your crap.

Somewhere in the bowels of deepest hell, Satan is assessing the potential of this shyte as the permanent soundtrack to an eternity of being hosed down with Bernard Manning's diarrhea.

Normally I clean out the house, get rid a bunch of the crap in the room he'll be in, and then show him where he'll need to be, tell him where I'll be, and to let me know if he needs anything. I always buy them lunch and provide water/soda/gatorade if needed. He wants to get out of there ASAP, but by treating him nice he'll do a good job.

I've pretty much built a good rapport with all of the people I interact with. From landscapers, sanitation, mailman, they all know me and hook me up.

"Because the thing about repairing, maintaining, and cleaning is it’s not an adventure. There’s no way to do it so wrong you might die. It’s just work. And the bottom line is, some people are okay going to work, and some people … well, some people would rather die. Each of us gets to choose.”

That's the way to do it. Accurate relevant info and leave them.
Already repped though.

I let em do their thing. I always buy lunch, pizzas and a couple 2 liters and offer it up.

These guys are working on my house. I want them to be as happy as possible. I put anything important or valuable away the night before, i generally don't bother them while they work. If I get curious I'll try to just be direct and not like some weirdo pretending not to wonder what strangers are doing in my house. I'll just walk up and say, "hey how's the job going anything I should know? Ok cool I'll be wherever if you need me just shout"

But yeah I usually will just be like yo I'm grabbing pizzas for lunch my treat any preference?

Hopefully this is enough to get them to not steal from me and do quality work.
