Anthony Bourdain: Autoerotic Asphyxiation. Why is everyone so afraid to admit it?

Everyone decided without any shred of evidence (other than he died by apparent suicide) and latched on to the "depression" narrative. Not sure why everyone is afraid to address the elephant in the room. His mom even said that suicide is something she knows with all her being that he just would never ever do. He was obsessed with his daughter. The guy was of the age where a lot of men do autoerotic asphyxiation, ESPECIALLY as a former heroin addict. He even joked about the subject shortly before he died on Twitter. His best friend found him in a hotel and most likely "deleted his internet history" so to speak. He used a bathrobe belt in his hotel bathroom on a doorknob. Very unlikely a person trying to commit suicide would use such a flimsy means to off himself. And the man was a writer. He loved writing. If he was gonna kill himself, he would have written a note.

It's actually more damaging to his legacy that they go with the suicide narrative than that he died because of his kink.

Eric didn't have to lie. He found his friend dead in a hotel room by means of hanging himself. No one had any obligation to tell the press that his pants were down with dink in hand as well.
