Denver seems to spread out, I'm sure there are PLENTY of pockets of good neighborhoods that appeal to anyone.

I moved from Lake City, Florida to Denver in the spring of 2018. It's alright. I wouldn't go anywhere near downtown unless you like homeless people and mediocre bars.

It's got a lot of outdoor activities, many parks and trails that are nice, lots of stuff to do and the mountains are only an hour away for real outdoor stuff (although back country is much further). I moved to Knoxville TN last month because I had a kid and got married in 2019, Denver has a terrible housing market and definitely isn't where I want my kid raised (fukken loony people, drugs, crazy homeless, everyone is a he/her/them) but if I was a single man I would have stayed.

If you make less than 100k (as a single person) don't even bother srs.

I've heard the outdoor activities are not as great because of insane traffic and too many people trying to do the same outdoor stuff at the same time. Is that true? Fifteen years ago, Denver metro was amazing

That depends on where you go and when. My favorite activity in the Denver area is to go about 2 hours outside of town during the late spring to early fall and do some fishing in lakes that are at least 7 miles hiking distance from the road and at least 10,000 ft up because you can go almost the entire day without seeing another person.

If you like skiing in ski areas or hiking in areas that are easy you'll see millions of retards wearing masks and such. Really depends on what you do. If you can afford it I'd look at some of the towns in the rockies that aren't known for skiing and the like and aren't resort towns if outdoors is your thing, but again those places aren't really where I want to raise a family (wtf is my kid going to do for fun, for example).

Had I remained in Colorado I definitely would have looked into something like Bailey, Lake City, or Leadville. Possibly Silverthorne but it's a bit resorty.

- Hazardous air pollution
- Sitting in traffic
- Stinky homeless camps everywhere
- Carjackings/break-ins
- Being able to legally take a dump/piss on the sidewalk
- Homeless people screaming at you to give them money
- Heroin needles all over the place
- Entitled snobby democrats everywhere
- Paying $1800/month for a chitty studio apartment
- Paying $50 for a single day of parking

lmao yeah pretty much this if you live in the actual city / downtown. the suburbs and aurora aren't that bad though but I still wouldn't move back.

I spent time in Colorado Springs and enjoyed it enough. I love nature and legal green herb is very appealing. I can see moving to CO in 10 -15 years once I retire. Grab a decent Acre or so of land for still reasonable prices as of now

Yep. Seattle is the same way. One time I tried to get a camping reservation for the following month. They were all booked up... for the next 5 years DFS.
