buddies girlfriend told him she was a lesbian and left him for a girl (ded fkn Srs)

just found out a girl my buddy from high school was in a serious relationship with for at least 3 years decided to tell him she was a lesbian and was leaving him to be with another woman

she moved down from NJ to NC to live with him fulltime

i dont even know how you'd begin to process that. all that energy & time...right down the drain..all those promises to each other while laying down in bed at night..all a lie

how should i attempt to comfort a homie after such a kick to the gut like this? i couldn't imagine what kind of emotions and thoughts are running through this poor dudes mind

Aslo a guy who came out after 25 years married.
