Deleted All My Pics & Vids From ********. Account Delete Now?

Removed (yes I'm aware they have backup tapes, etc) and un-linked as much stuff as I could that is forward-facing and searchable on the interwebs.

Only reason I'm hesitating on the full delete is that there are numerous (not top tier friends... but cool people I've met on my life journey) people that I've only been able to remain in contact with through ********.

Why not just ask for their contact info outside of FB to stay in touch, then delete?

I had a long lost buddy from germany do this before deleting his. He probably hit up a few of his long distance friends for this. He had a whatsapp # as an alternative. Pretty good idea.
