I cant stand this online crap I am about to transfer to a different school, I talked to a guy and he said I could do an accelerated program and work at my own pace, basically you test out of classes as fast or slow as long as you do the minimum credits per 6 month term at the school.

After my current school went to all online stuff in March 2020 its been terrible. Its basically a scam. I got a bad grade in my math class last semester because the pearson online test locked me out from signing in to take the midterm. I tried resetting the password because it said "your account is locked, to fix this reset your password" it wouldn't send me the text confirmation code even though I had a previous text from them from when I set up the account confirming my number. Then I tried to use their help chat and it only gave me scripted responses, it wouldn't let me talk to a real person. I found their number and there was a message saying their call center is closed because of a virus.

Fukin rage inducing I got a 0 on my midterm

Then in another class I was taking a test and there was a graphic that was halfway cut out and I tried to right click to see if it would expand the picture and I accidentally clicked the inspect element dev tool thing and it locked me out of the test and flagged me for cheating. The professor was a kunt and treated me like a child trying to get away with cheating

Its like the course work is 10x more in volume now that the classes are online its hard for me to keep up. I waste hours and hours doing tedious assignments online that are just pointless.

I'm sick of this online stuff. College was already a scam before, now its worse. I haven't even talked to any of my professors this whole semester and we're almost 3 months in. Thankfully I'm not paying for this **** I just want it over with and get the degree so I can checkmark the HR box and get an interview.

Sorry, OP, I didn't read it all, but skimmed through it.

I am also taking online classes now and it sucks. I master all the material I'm going to need in the future and I cheat for the rest. No point in absorbing irrelevant knowledge.

I looked into them and see them on the USAjobs website listed as accepted so if it is good for the federal govt I think it would be okay for most other jobs

The only problems I heard is they make you call them once a week and also they outsource the proctors for the test taking and some of the foreign people are rude is what I heard but I dont care if thats the worst of it. This local school sucks

Government jobs are typically the least picky with degrees. I got my masters online in a year and it's perfect for my job (government). Would not be good for applying for jobs in almost any other field lol

For government work no one cares. Just a check box.

For most other jobs people definitely care.

Seemed to me like the teachers just thought it was a good excuse to give people an inordinate amount of work to do vs. those attending classes in person.

And I mean they would give like damn near double the homework compared to people attending classes in person.

yeah I went back to school and it was in person for half a semester then they switched everything to online. Now that it is online it is at least 2x the amount of work. I would say I probably spend about 5-10 times more hours now on school than before. 25-40+ hours a week I am doing school stuff.
