Aware me on retirement

Someone teach me on this, seems to me like you'll eventually want to work again because what else are you going to do?

Alright fine, you complete your bucket list - visit the Berg Khalifa or the Eiffel Tower. Maybe you travel the whole world, volunteer a bit.

What else is there that makes retirement worth it? Sure I relax, but I'd rather not turn my brain to mush by being lazy. Work is engaging.

OP is from Copenhagen

Early retirement = The goal of everyone.
Somewhere in the bowels of deepest hell, Satan is assessing the potential of this shyte as the permanent soundtrack to an eternity of being hosed down with Bernard Manning's diarrhea.

No one says you have to sit on your ass and be lazy when you're retired.

You do whatever the fk you want whenever the fk you want.

- can leave the rat race

- can lay down and rot

- can go back to school and study anything that interests you

- can start a business or pick another career path without financial stress

- can start a family and actually spend time with them

- can do pretty much whatever the fk you want

OR you can be a wagecel for life

This. The goal is to leave the forced work life most of us are in.

Still work but do your own projects. House work, play instruments, gardening, etc. Pick up new crafts and arts.

basic retirement is just rotting away watching TV for 10 hours a day and having your own house to do it in.

What exactly is retirement? Srs question do you get payed when you get older from this “retirement”?

Or is it simply an accumulation over wealth over time that lets you not work again/live off the wealth

Second one, but I think some people can get some sort of benefit.
