I agree in this case. She was clearly weak as chit and barely had any coordination at all holding those things in her hand could’ve easily been smashed on the ground by those cops and subdued. Oh well she got her wish....

Yeah, they probably could but they are at risk every day, and if they put themselves in that much more danger they won't be around very long. The media never talks about the numbers of police officers that are killed or wounded in the line of duty.

Yeah sure, anyone can go on all night judging a situation in hindsight. There was a video of the domestic violence case recently, where the officers were in with the woman and the man came home and just pulled a gun and started shooting. There are also ton's of incidents where cops hesitated and ended up getting seriously hurt or killed. Situations like what we saw in this video go from just tense to intense real quick like. Yeah, she got shot, but she lived, honestly results weren't all that bad, but imagine if she had hit one of those cops with a pickaxe

If they would stop releasing nutcases into society with a bottle of pills trusting someone who is borderline insane to take their meds. Fact is none of this would have happened if she was in the looney bin like where she belongs.

Fair enough, and I see what you mean. I just wish more people could understand it isn't so black and white, no one bothers to consider all of the gray in between. But I guess someone had to get hurt.

I still firmly believe it's a training issue, but I can't help but wonder how that mentally unstable woman is out and about with a pickaxe.

But if she lived, I guess it could've been worse.

She could barely hold the damn thing up. Takes a wide swing to even get a blast in with that crap. They had her surrounded and could’ve easily put her on the ground, but like I said she got her wish so maybe that’s what was meant to be.

About the training, got to say yes, our officers need lots of training and some police departments are better than others. We also have a politician problem, as just recently some actually went as far as to actually talk about defunding the police which resulted in actually costing them a lot more while crime went rampant. We need to have the funding to pay enough to actually attract the right people, pay more for better and more comprehensive training. and the support of these officers so they stay on the job.
