How would you fair in a maximum security prison?

Lets say you get falsely arrested for a crime you didn't commit. Would you manage to thrive?/survive Think I'd prob get raped in the first week and die in the first month.

Supermax you're kept isolated so probably be okay, but lesser prisons where I'd be in general population I'm probably going to have a hard time.

From what I understand from a lot of research and talking to people who have been in, it really doesn't matter how big and bad you are, if you go in with sex crimes, especially if they are involving children or you are a rat/snitch you are in for a rough time. So if you got a 2 year sentence but your buddy got 20 years because you turned state's witness, your 2 years is going to feel like 200.

1) your jujitsu jewelry isn’t going to win any fights but it might kill plenty of time in the process of crafting it.

2) you’re not going to just waltz in there and get the scrap metal job. If you did, you’d get extorted and be bringing shanks back to gang members.

3) you’ll get snitched on before your crew is two members. And asking around about an existing escape crew will make you look like an aspiring snitch.

4) you’ll get hustled if you gamble.

I've never been in max but I did do 18 months in general pop when I was 21

Honestly the things people worry about are not what gets you, I never knew of anyone to be raped in prison when I was there, and there wasn't that many fights, the ones that were were 2 guys beefing.

What people aren't prepared for is the cold, the long nights, the smell, the noises, the general dehumanisation of the whole thing.

If anyone does end up in there, sign up for church, as many classes as possible, don't act like a pussy but don't act like the big man either. There are plenty of ****ing a grade loser junkies in prison but most of the wing will see them as losers and as long as YOU aren't a loser you won't interact with those types.

I’d try to not talk to anyone but know I’d be forced to interact with the Whites only gangs (I watched “Locked Up”). After watching the shows, seems like as long as you don’t seek out trouble, people will be pretty cool with you. I’d just lift and read all day and try to stay outta altercations. I think the raping thing isn’t as big of deal as everyone makes it out to be in prison, I’m sure if you’re a twink and act feminine then it would probably happen tho.

Edit- I’d be absolutely fuked for sleeping tho, I need 5 pillows, eye mask, ear plugs, nose spray, fan, 65° temp. Every single night or I’m not sleeping

I wouldnt thrive but Id survive and blend in. I mean fuark if I had to shiv people guess ya gotta do what you gotta do. Would try best to avoid doing that in maximum security.

Thriving would mean lots of drug smuggling and shiving IMO.
