Men's dating currency is money/status
Women's is looks

Men think they have more value than they actually do....so they think they deserve 8+/10
Women think they look better than they actually do......so they think they deserve high value male.

Neither understand this because inflated ego/IG culture/Flex Culture......therefore people are single longer and end up having to (what they consider) "settle" when they're past prime and end up hating life thinking they could have done better.

Good explanation, but not entirely true.

Men are not single because we overestimate ourselves, we’re single because women don’t care for relationships that much anymore.

After 3rd wave feminism promoting women’s liberation towards empowered sexual conduct, women don’t need to settle down with a man. They also have their own jobs and money. Women now see plenty of good looking guys on social media and pursue those guys instead, leaving majority of men with scraps or with nothing at all.

Most guys I know would be happy dating a girl 2-3 points below them on the look scale.

LOL...thats already true. I've never ever ever heard a guy call his uggo or fat or plain-jane wife/gf average-looking despite that being the vast vast majority of all women. however most end up with people who are on their own looks-tier so thats already true in way average-women who can't actually get (maybe fuk tho) attractive men end up with non-Chads anyway.

Attractive people in general comprise a very small %.
