if you don't cook food better than any restaurant around, why?

Not only is it cheaper but you can make it for sloots and family, and you can make it healthier. Everyone has a higher opinion of someone who knows how to cook.

I can cook comparable food compared to a lot of 3 star restaurants around me (Applebee’s and the like) but I’d be lying to myself if I said I had either the ability and/or the inclination to make something you get at a 4.5-5 star restaurant. The amount of work that goes into it would probably kill my desire to eat it afterwards.

For 18 year old sloots? yeah you maybe right. Luckily I don't smash 18 year old sloots anymore since I'm in my late 20s.

25-30+ y/o sloots it very much so works.

Thanks for proving my point. Outside of cooking good proteins, a lot of good food can be made with a microwave. Those steam-able bags of veggies and potatoes come to mind.

Instant rice can be delicious if you know how to season it, and so on. When I get home I don’t wanna spend an hour or so prepping a dinner, I want that chit ready in 30-45 mins tops.

I do tend to buy higher quality meats than whatever rubbish Walmart has marked down though. The difference is night and day.

Edit: baking is by far my favorite way of making food, meats, veggies, starches, etc. crockpot is great too if you just want to set it and forget it.

most sloots will burn a house down in an attempt to boil water

being able to cook well as a man is definitely valued


but i still would prefer a woman cook for me

I agree with op mostly. Except some places really have some good chefs. I cook all the time at my house and use the grill as much as possible.
