Out fishing right now and saved neighbors dog that went thru the ice

I made a post a while back about a neighbor whose little dog was eaten by a wolf.


Guy has another dog.

Sitting on the ice fishing and heard something yelping off in the distance. Was hard to distinguish from all the geese and crows yapping.

So I took the atv down the lake to check it out, cuz I was curious. Found buddy's other miniature schnauzer had gone through some thin ice and was just about toast.

Grabbed it by the collar just as going under.

Put dog under coat and ran it over to his place. Knocked on door and wife came out. Lost her mind when I told her what happened. We ran warm water in the sink and got the dog into it, then I left cuz fish to catch.


I always have a cam running, but left it with my fishing stuff. Pissed me right off.

Imagine losing a dog to a wolf, then having one drown?

Back fishing now, happened fast so no pics...

Fuark brah I hope you’re being careful out there on the ice, chit can be very dangerous. Family up north in Ontario had a buddy go through the ice in his brand new truck and he just wouldn’t get out so he went down with it, they told his wife he had a heart attack I think.

Lots of trucks thru the ice this year. I never bring a vehicle on the ice, snowmobiles and atv only. And at this point I stay in close where it's thicker.
