Ethereum mining

Made me think what's the catch brahs? Let's say you build a similar machine with 6x3060ti which is 348.6mh/s @ 780w.

That would cost you $400 per graphics card + motherboard, PSUs etc so around $3500

Revenue per day - $37.23
Profit per day - $35.36

Mining Ethereum brb ceo $35/day

Fire up 10 of those babies for $35k and you are ceo $350/day

100 days to break even at current prices

Literally can't go tits up unless eth goes back to $120 or mining gets infinitely harder.

Spoiler!
I don't know anything about mining so I'm retarded

I built one a few years ago. Got it all setup. sold on ebay and crypto tanked like a month later lol. I think right now the hard part is finding in stock graphics cards. It was the same way a few years ago.

The catch-22 is you're competing with people whose cousins run the Electricity Grid in China / Pakistan (therefore free electricity) or they live in places that don't tax Crypto mining.

The catch is getting a gpu at msrp lmao. That $400 gpu is realistically costing you $600-700+ retail if you are lucky enough to snag one these days. You are pushing your roi back by months if you are building one from scratch right now.

I have a rig I built the beginning of the year and it's bringing in some good pocket change, over 1k a month. I dont think I'd build another one right now though

3060ti's nowadays are around $1,200

I don't know much about mining but don't you earn less and less the more people are mining? Like more competition?

If so it'd be pretty hard to compete with guys like this

Wouldn't you need some decent cooling in order to make sure the room doesn't light the fuk up on fire from all the heat emanating if you got like 10 rigs running and a decent power source?
if you need someone to chat with, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM.
