Yes, but does that raise it from like .01% to .02%?
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Not sure but that's still a high association

"Sufferers also tended to be less educated, smokers, overweight and ate more junk food and less fruit and vegetables."

if 8% of the population gets dementia, that means your chances go up to 12% from eating bacon

Sounds like complete bull**** to me.

Link to study or nah?

Here it is:https://academic.oup.com/ajcn/advanc...searchresult=1

Ok, yeah, the opening Background section tells that it's bs.

"Worldwide, the prevalence of dementia is increasing and diet as a modifiable factor could play a role."

Ok, but people eat less meat now. So it's BS.

And they estimated meat consumption using a questionnaire.

Fake news.

I like how they use bacon as the sample instead of like deli meat which is highly processed with corn syrups etc..

When does the meat count as processed or unprocessed?

Does uncured bacon count as processed or unprocessed? The nitrates could well be the issue.

Is it all sliced pork belly products?

All pork products that come in a “cut” already? 99.999999% of people have no option but to get processed meat in some form and they chose a product that has not been completely broken down and mixed in a way similar to what is normally associated with “processed meats”. Like chicken nuggets or deli meat, spam etc..

In that case wouldn’t uncured bacon be acceptable and it’s merely the same health risks that are always associated with nitrates?
