Why would you risk going out of your house ? There's covid and you risk dying and killing other people.

Why risk leaving your computer chair? You could easily fall and break your neck.

Not much else to do with COVID restrictions here.
It was all just satire. Sorry if I offended anyone with my trolling and sickening posts. Peace and love to everyone.

I don't even get out of my bed and walk around. Have you guys not seen the number of fatalities per year from falling down? In 2013 unintentional falls accounted for 556,000 deaths! No thank you!

Had a tick crawling up my sock waiting for an interview to start yesterday. Was raining out. Ticks love rain, but I only walked through about two feet of mowed grass walking from the parking lot.

Have a buddy with it.

Manages it with pills n chit.

Fun fact, Canadian singer Avril Lavigne has Lyme disease.

There is a worse one tho. A certain type of tick gives you a disease that causes you to develop a severe allergy to meat.

I came down with it 3 years ago in late winter 2018. Weirdly enough I was exposed to ticks in summer 2017. Was hiking up a grassy ski slope and sat down for a breather. When I was done found about 4 on me. I guess I didn't see the 5th.

I had 3 "episodes" starting in March that lasted 2-3 days and came up once every three months. Imagine flu symptoms multiplied 100x but no sinus issues. The third time finally got checked out and luckily a round of strong antibiotics knocked it out. Again, the weird thing about it is symptoms vary between people. Luckily it didn't mess me up more.

The diagnosed cases of that are so small its not even a thing. Mainly TX ticks iirc and south tx has a lot of ticks.

And for OP
There is this Chit called DEET (lmao if you arent aware) 30% spray is plenty to keep the lil fukkers off of you.
My highest tick pull count is 31, most of which where in a cluster on my right butt cheek. Lived in VT and currently NY (aka lyme central).

Lyme free.

So true!! Need to add some railing on all sides of my bed to insure that I can't fall off to be 100% safe.

Wonder if your area got cold enough routinely to kill off ticks carrying it. I'm a little bit south of you, got mine even further in Virginia on vacation. But at least 3 dogs in my circle of people got lyme just from being outside in residential yards.

Read something about them finding the same type of ticks that carry that one further north recently.

Not sure where I read it.

You ever try permethryn (sp) to kill em? I heard that stuff is great but tough to find in Canada. You wash clothes in it and it lasts a long time

Found it

https://www.google.com/amp/s/beta.ct...1_4486154.html

We have the same ******* ticks now cuz warm winters, but doesn't mean they for sure carry the meat allergy thing. The article is likely sensationalizing, but still.

I don't know enough about it

Not that easy.

DEET, plus, you can just avoid the kinds of trails where you would encounter ticks.

I get them on me and had 5-6 in me...usually fro being out turkey hunting or archery. Now spray my clothes with permethrin. So far so good. Dog got lymes tho and has episodes every 2 years. Legs swell and cant move. I give her some antibiotics and it clears up in a day or two
