Landed a 30ft radio mast for the fire hall at the top of the tower we built, had to make a gin pile with a steel pipe we had and a block to get enough headroom

I bungee jumped from a little over 100ft. crane. I had to be loaded to do it. Shoes flew off...but damn, that was the only way i would do it.

Usually have a guy on the ground and send stuff back up by rope if we do.

If it’s important enough though you don’t drop it, we pass around big 60+lb radios worth tens of thousands and it’s not always by rope, if it’s in a position where it’s easiest to pass by hand then we do

It’s more common to drop small hardware that you don’t have extras of and then have to try and improvise

I used to be mostly fine with heights (even rock climbed for years) but a few years ago, seemingly out of nowhere, I started getting tingles and weak legs anytime I'm around heights. Even watching vids or seeing pictures of people on ledges or high up will freak me out (weak legs, body tingles, stomach turns, etc). Buddy has a place on the 25th floor and I don't even like going on his balcony.

I spent a few years drinking heavily and I think it might have fcked up my ability to deal with heights, srs.

prob get used to it.

I hate being near ledges with no hand rails, im afraild of falling but if it seems like a sturdy area its different, i have been up on 200ft bridges, been up in mountains ect without issues. empire state building is not scary at all because its all caged in and no way you can fall

Been on the underside of a bridge that is like 200ft up and there is no rail or anything at the edge, it just drops off 200 ft to the water below, it freaks me out,wouldnt get within 10 ft of that.


also really hate the grated stairs, had to go up like 4-5 stories of these on sides of buildings and seeing through them and the stairs below, ****s with my depth perception and makes me feel like i am going to trip and fall on the stairs, so i go real slow and everyone thinks im a pussy, even though i sky dived and did other chit from much bigger heights.



hate these see through grated stairs, makes me afraid i will miss judge a step and go tumbling down them, hard to focus on the steps youre on when you can see through below
