So much time and effort is devoted to 'muh climate change' because its a vague and nebulous idea with no tangible evidence, no solutions and can be used to control people and transfer wealth to the turd world.

Environmentalism is racism since only Europeans care about the environment and a vast majority of actual pollution comes from south and east Asia. Most 'environmentalists' are just anti-racist watermelons, green on the outside but red on the inside. Hence they can never be true environmentalists, they love muh climate emergency but pay little heed to actual issues like plastic pollution.

There was a documentary series on netflix that claimed the huge industries are the only reason for the massive plastic pollution and all these cleanups or reducing plastic consumption on a personal level is like taking a grain of sand from the beach aka. completely useless. Unless the industries switch to more eco-friendly approach in their packaging, this will continue.

Nobody has the balls to sack up and claim that human beings are the problem, not plastic. There's too many of us. I would love to be frozen in time in order to survive our upcoming mass extinction event and witness what comes after the human species. Giant insects? I, for one, would welcome our giant insectoid overlords. Plastic tentacles and all.

If single use plastic bottles and bags were banned overnight, it wouldn't affect my life in the slightest. Why are so many so reliant on them? Use reusable bags at the grocery store. They're stronger and fit more loot. I use a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated during the day. I never buy soft drinks or any of that garbage, pretty much just drink water. Basically, get rid of low IQ plebs, get rid of the single use plastic. Unless you're a mouthbreathing simpleton, you don't constantly rely on those products.

I agree. The same with the paper/cardboard straws, people complain about them despite it being a step in the proper direction. Asia and India are the work offenders, there are countries that have literal garbage rivers that flow straight into the ocean. They even found plastic at the bottom of the Mariana Trench. Pathetic...

We've become a weak species over-reliant on convenience. Cognitive dissonance is also a hell of a thing. The masses of humans tend to only consider the here and now and not the longterm consequences of what we do.

It's probably never going to change, but I personally like to live a more sustainable life. Those are lessons I hope to pass down to my children as well.

Wonder what the major sources of this are. Read #3 printed on the bottom plastic is bad but the others are ok. PVC is bad. Fast food causes high levels for some reason.

I’ve felt for awhile companies need to responsible for the impact of their products at the end of its life cycle.

You making profit off somthing that causes this? A % of that profit now needs to go toward fixing it. Time to switch to somthing like hemp plastics or come up with better ideas. Also reign in fake green companies that rely on stuff like toxic batteries or those giant fukking windmills.

Let capitalism take responsibility and solve the problems, that’s where the power and intelligence is anyways.
