Do you believe in being 100% honest?

I just had a black guy approach me asking for money and told him I don’t have any.

Now, in reality, I probably did have some coins somewhere. But then I would’ve just been telling him “I have money, but not for you”. That could’ve started an altercation.

But because he thought I didn’t have any money, he had no reason to pursue it further.

Anyone else think honesty isn’t always the best policy?

I try my best to be. Sometimes it is almost impossible though when it comes to others. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to spare someone’s feelings with a lie unless that lie will get them hurt. We can’t pretend certain things are good when they are not though.

For instance, pretending like op isn’t a ******* when indeed he is etc.
This body holding me, be my reminder here that I am not alone.
Makes me feel eternal, all this Pain is an Illusion.
