Moving to Florida. How fuked am I?

From New York to Melbourne, Fl. Haven’t lived in Florida since I was in Kindergarten. I’ll be in Florida for a year from April, in which case I’ll probably move back to NY.

What is in store for me, misc?

As someone's thats been all over both NY and Florida back and forth.

Give us context. What part of NY are you coming from? Most people when they said NY they outright assume NYC, just like when most people refer to Florida they assume South Florida.

Melbourne is a retiree hub. Not much goes on there, so if you're thinking you're going into a place full of wildness and hot chicks well......

Cost of living goign to be a lot lower, taxes lower, gun laws very different.

melbourne itself, well atleast there are beaches. NASA is nearby if you ever want to go to that.

Otherwise if you looking for bigger places, orlando and jacksonville are nearby and not a real bad drive. Melbourne itself is small with old people and families, not lots of young chicks.

Summer will be super hot and muggy and rains a lot in the evenings. Winter will be a lot better than NY winters and no stupid snow storms.

I would still rather live in florida, but if you are a citycel and liked NYC it would be way different. If you like bars and nightclubs you will have to drive to orlando.
