Spongebob is my absolute favorite character. Granted I haven’t watched a SpongeBob episode in probably seven years or so. But I still love the gifs and memes—I posted on my bodyspace today actually

One thing I don't get about these pictures is they're technically not accurate. Spongebob was always manic & happy as chit. If anything, I guess this is the unseen depressed side of his bipolar disorder that the show doesn't cover?

I was about to write this off as pretentious rambling, BUT I re-read it and you have a good point. I visualize myself in that situation and it's a fate that I'm doing my best to avoid. We all have to work, but having a dead end job and spending the night drowning away sorrows with cigarettes' and booze in front of the T.V is no way to live. Either way we do some form of work until we die, but that picture is just depressing. Spongebob was my jam, and still appeals to the kid inside of me today.

Agreed. Spongebob found enjoyment in simple pleasures, and I think that's why he's often such a happy character. He makes the best of his situation.
