Personal trainer dies from pre work, 29, added too much caffeine powder

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...est-hears.html

I would be interested if the preworkout was a much higher concentration than listed or if the guy added too much cause he’s an idiot. Toxicology report should show. If it was a commercial product I would assume more people would be dropping like flies

Damn, 20,000mg of caffeine, thats twice a definite lethal dose for a 160lb dude

There was a brah on here like a decade ago that talked about doing this same thing

Said he bought pure caffeine powder and the label said a teaspoon was 400 mg and he did some shiitty math and took like 4000mg

Said he went to gym right after felt alright on drive there, started doing some squats then his legs got like that tingly falling asleep feeling and he collapsed and was all dizzy and pukin n shiit

Amberlamps came and got him and he passed out and woke up in hospital like a day later

Thats why most preworkouts add a filler with the powder because such a small amount of pure caffeine is easy to measure wrong

2 scoops, tablespoon, forget the count, 3 tbsps.

2.5*400 * 3 = 3000mg. dangerous amount.

That's assuming every bro who buys caffeine powder is fully responsible, not YOLOing 6+ scoops like Rich Piana.

Even the zero stimulant pre workouts felt sketchy to me. I stopped using that bullsht after only a couple months of use. Creatine and protein powder are the main ones I'll make use of, multi

As someone who is in the beverage production industry.

It’s entirely possible for ingredients to not mix properly

Equipment malfunction
Or employee error

Making KMBS (liquid sulphur) if you do not mix the container properly it can clump at the bottom and all of your additions will be off.

It’s possible that the pure caffein powder got clumped and not mixed or something so he took the fatal scoop

Sounds like a horrible way to go. I overdosed on prescribed ******** before and ended up in the ER with a tachycardia. Thought I was having a heart attack and started hyperventilating. Must’ve had a panic attack at the same time because my fingers and hands went straight numb along with my facial muscles being pulled in every direction. Scariest moment of my life by far. They gave me ****** or some kind of Benzo through an IV and I immediately felt better.

Thought my heart was gonna explode.

My other friend’s dog died because he somehow got into their bottle of caffeine pills.

Dogs can barely metabolize caffeine. A much lower dose would hurt them.

People do not give dogs chocolate because of the trace amounts of theobromine, a xanthine similar to caffeine, that would OD from the caffeine-like effects because of their metabolic differences to us.

And they were just EC stack. People are idiots and take too much.

Tens of millions of people do sports, work out, take supplements. Just because somebody dies doesnt always correlate.

With that said, Jack3d before the formula change sent me to E.R. , I though I was having a heart attack. It was extremele heart palpitations that induced some sort of panic attack. $150 wasted lol. I took only 2 scoops but I pulled an all-nighter and was already up for 24 hours before I took the preworkout.

Nowadays it's nearly impossible to have much higher concentrations in recipes for supplements.
Everything gets checked by R&D, QC, QA, production, management etc. before it leaves for shipment.

"Many brands of pre-workout range from 150mg to 300mg of caffeine per serving, and a teaspoon of pure caffeine powder contains an incredible 3,200mg."

I asked my doctor about reactions to stimulant supplements and he told me in 40 years of practice, some peoples hearts spike to a "level 1" while others spike to a "level 3" with the exact same ingredients/dosage. So depending on how you respond, or how caffeine sensitive you are, you could end up in the ER. That is why they all suggest on the labels to start with a little and work your way up.

I have tried ultimate orange, hott stuff, hydroxycut with ephedra , craze, jack3d, as well as oxy elite pro. Start off below the suggested dosage and work your way up gradually, your heart will thank you.
There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!
