Always liked his movies but after watching this and the amount of minute details of clues that run rampant in The Shining along with his other movies. Likely one of the greatest directors ever.

The Shiningis a great movie, Stephen King hated it apparently because Duval's character was not nearly as strong as Mrs Torrance in the book. But w/e it's not like it was an unrealistic response to being stuck in a spooky isolated hotel with a suddenly murderous husband.

Need to re-watch The Shining. But I think generally 2001: Space Odyssey was more impressive.
