My Collard Greens and Swiss Chard are going nuts.

I got really lazy the last few months but with all the rain my leafy greens are just getting huge in my raised bed. Collards 24 inches and Swiss Chard 18 inches or so.

I'm mostly doing the square foot system but due to laziness I have 2 Collard plants in 1 square which isn't recommended however they are absolutely humongous.

The salad greens are also ridiculously producing to the point I can't even eat enough of it. The 6 variety seed pack that I planted over the summer bolted so I segregated the different varieties and planted them 3x3 per foot and they are very robust as well.

I live in zone 10a so we never typically get a frost, therefore my tomato clones survived over the winter. I took several cuttings to see if I can get another round of clones to get a jump on this season. I wasn't able to get a trellis in place so they're mostly just vining around across each other or out of the raised bed altogether.

I originally started growing just about 12 months ago, just kinda experimenting. I got pretty lazy like I said so I have saved seeds from peppers that I'm not sure which kind they are and I'm not sure what kind of tomatoes I cloned, either Early Girl or Big Boy. I guess we'll see in the coming months.

I don't really care I just like seeing stuff grow that I sow. There's even a little green salad plant growing a foot outside of the raised bed by about a foot, I must have dropped a seed there without realizing it.

I just finished a meal of sauteed greens with chicken and potatoes. OK that's the end of my story time I guess.

Do any of you bros grow your own food?

I grow mushrooms, basil, and have a few Venus fly traps that I just split.

In the process of buying a 10 acre wooded property and applying for a medical growers license atm. The plan is to turn it into a homestead with MMJ as a primary income source. If all goes well, I'll likely buy the surrounding houses as rentals since they are cheap and on 10 acre plots as I can limit their land usage in the lease.

I love gardening and cannot wait to leave my day job after the first successful MMJ harvest.

Hell yea bro. My swiss chard last fall was my best grower. I'm in 5b though so I'm definitely more limited.

I started all my bell peppers indoors already and have them under the grow lights. Trying a heat pad and some plastic film to create a lot of warmth so they germinate well. Temps are down to 40F right now. I'm growing quite a bit this year and this weekend am building 2 raised garden beds instead of doing grow bags and pots again.

What else are you growing? Where do you live?

I'm not sure, they grow like weeds down here. I have them outside in raised beds with well draining soil, and just leave them to the elements. I don't water them except when they are young or it hasn't rained in a week and they start to wilt.

I grew some collard greens and arugula in the winter time. They did okay. I will grow a lot of peppers in the summer as well as some basil and okra.
