Yeah one of my buddies spent 1 week of the month working in China for years. I've seen enough pictures and heard enough stories that I'm fine over here in America. I don't care what some ******* youtuber has to say.

Contrary to perceptions: there aren't that many privately owned companies in China either. The government is still the plurality if not majority employer. And it's all state ran industries that are very inefficient, require subsidies and loans. Money that could otherwise go to more efficient (privately owned) businesses. USA technically has some Zombie companies like the automobile ones (and airlines during Covid) but these pale to the scope of them in China.


Russia and most of Eastern Europe is still dealing with the collapse of their zombie industry 30 years after Communism ended.



China if I recall did about down a lot of the zombie mining companies but are now dealing with the unemployed and entire cities in places like Manchuria emptying out. Apparently you can buy a whole apartment in some rural Northern city in Manchuria under $7,000 because nobody wants to move there. The zombie industries left the city which means no jobs there anymore. Now repeat this scenario when Zombie industries in middle and southern China get shut down someday. LMAO at an entirely unsustainable economy in China. Now you know why their rich stash money abroad.

Haven't watched the video, but recently talked to a guy from the south who spoke fluent mandarin used to work at an investment bank in china and it was super interesting. Cliffs:

- china education and corporate culture is ruthless and cutthroat (high school kids pulling all-nighters regularly), americans crying about their $600 stimulus checks is very lulzy in comparison
- china has no respect for IP laws and will regularly enter into joint ventures with foreign companies, steal valuable IP, and then cut off their partners and produce the same thing on their own
- americans can't own chit in china. to do business in china you have to have a majority chinese owner. americans can't even own direct common stock in china companies

Was interesting to hear him say that he voted for trump because of his stance on china for the above reasons. really refreshing to hear someone vote for politicians based on real reasons, other than just "he is not a liberal soy boy beta cuck so I luv him" or "he is a literal nahtzee so I hate him".

This is why I don’t think they’ll ever be successful at being the top power. They’re way to unoriginal and tied down.
