Sounds like amazing weather....
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

UKers probably genetically evolved to be able to take it. That's why so many of them are so white, I assume

Yeah it rains everyday without fail. The last time we had a day without rain was 1066, moments after the battle of Hastings.

Us Brits just like to moan about the weather, it could be sunny for two weeks and the second a cloud appears we start bitching about rain

I was surprised over there as the British concept of rain is different than where I'm from. In the British Isles its a constant gray, nasty drizzle. Just enough to keep the ground constantly wet. When it rains here it will thunderstorm in the afternoons but be sunny an hour or two later.

The South is obviously better. Scotland and Ireland have worse weather.

It’s generally grey and cloudy.

I had enough and moved to Europe.

Yea I've read that even Florida gets more total rain than the UK. It's just that when it rains in FL, it fookin rains like a mother for a short period of time.

Only in The North.

When it is sunny here it is actually pretty GOAT. Lush green everywhere, people are upbeat and rarely too hot. I worked in the med for two summers and parched cracked soil, brown grass, burning empty blue sky every day and dusty plants everywhere really got to me.

I used to work in the UK office for a Russian company. The dev office was in St Petersburg which gets 62 sunny days/yr. They had some Russians move there who didn't even last 6 months due to the -20 temps, dark and grey weather.

This is exactly it. You know those thunderstorms we get in the summer for a couple hours and then it's even hotter and more humid when the sun comes out? We get more inches in just one of those then Brits get with a full week worth of their rain. It just seems like it rains more there since it's gray and drizzly a lot more over there than it is here.

I have a Scottish gf. Her entire family seem permanently grumpy. No wonder most Scots leave for England.

I'm not sure either. It is a problem down here though, she gets sunburned in any sunshine at all.

The sun finally set on the British Empire and it isn't about to rise for the UK.
